ICICI or AIRTEL? whose blunder is it??

Airtel has stopped accepting payments thru ICICI credit cards on the net. But never did they inform anything about this. Wonder what is the reason behind. All the more, i have been recieving calls from ICICI representatives on my airtel mobile asking if i would like to activate the standing instructions facility*. Should i take this initiative of ICICI as extensive customer care or a cheap trick to make business??? I call it cheap because airtel has not really stopped accepting ICICI credit cards on the net. If the same payment through internet is paid via the US server-then ur bills do get paid. But its only the Indian consumers who cant do the same.

Airtel on the other hand is soon to become no.1 in poor services. First of all its customer care sucks, billing sucks even more….signal stregth sucks all time. Network gets jammed more often.

Regarding the issue, i am not sure if it is airtel that has barred icici credit cards on the net and added one more in its ever expanding list of bad services or is it ICICI doing cheap tricks to expand its business areas…. 

*a facility where in your bills gets automatically paid through your credit card every month.

Kaizen in Retailing

Kaizen means contiues improvement. Improvement by eliminating ‘muda'(waste).Refining business process ‘waste’ can be reduced so that real work to be done is easily achieved.

In the retailing forum – we have manufacturers, distributors, wholesalers, retailers and finally the consumer. If the manufacturer is the one producing the item and the consumer is the end user of the item, then what is the need of retailers and wholesalers.Retailers and wholesalers are basically present to refine and streamline the business process. But in the concept of Kaizen they may be considered as ‘muda’. If Kaizen principles are to be followed in product distribution by the manufucaturers, then we may gradually see the elimination of the so called middle men. We already see vending machines present across cities distributing limited items. Vending machines puking rice, cereals and other essential commodities would soon become a reality.

Having said so, this doesnt mean that all the necessary waste has been eliminated. Kaizen meaning continous improvement can be said to have been achieved if and only if producers find a way to reach the kitchens/rooms of consumers.

Globalisation – its future – is a ?

Time – Science or Philosophy??

Everybody knows that time is continuous…. But if it is possible for us to slice each unit(say second) of it, we can say that time is static at that particular point of time and that it looks to be continuous when all these statics are combined together in a sequence.This is thought taking into assumption that every action takes one second.

Something is predetermined to happen every second. Like, say im typing now, so when i type this letter ‘a’, it means that at this particular point of time i do the action of typing ‘a’,and that particular action stays there for eternity.It was already there and will be only there, only a transition takes place from one level to another. This is why some believe that time travel is possible.

Going by this assumption, we can say that, if we know time is a continual execution of static events, then there is a slight possibility to know our future, if we know how to do it. We may be in one of this phase, there will be our replicants who are leading us and lagging behind us. As we know about what we passed in the past, we are interested only in what will we experience in the future….

Well, the title should have read ‘Time – Static or Continuous’ , just that the present title was catchy and I really thought i could explore philosophy through this – but couldnt.

Are we superior??

We believe that human forms existed in earth some 200,000 yrs ago. But are we the only superior intellects to have wandered around earth??

We can learn from our epics(ramayan and mahabarath), that they possesed far superior technology than the present day. They knew how to fly an aircraft, they knew how to fly by themselves, they also developed mass destruction weapons, some of which we are yet to invent.

Now, lets assume that the time period of Lord Rama and ours are the same.He might be one of our forefathers…The point is, there might have been other forms that might have tresspassed earth even b4 them. Adam and Eve might have been the first inhabitants for our life form. But b4 them, there would hve been other ‘life’ forms.

They would hve ruled earth, possessed far more superior technology,not necessarily developed using silica.They might hve mastered molecular transmission to locamote…We never know what they would have achieved.They lived in their period. Earth would have destroyed them eventually, and paved way for us.We might live for sometime, earth would eventually destroy us too and pave way to the next species…

Ever wondered how sages who wrote our epics knew the solar system, that the earth was spherical and moon has sand in it.What we claim to be inventions/discoveries were known to species that lived before us. They would have also lived a cycle. There might have arose an end point after which they became extinct. We can consider them to be far more superior than us, that they didnt leave a small trace so that we can study their life, or should it be, we are still in our basics that we dont understand what they have left us to study and thus failed to discover their life…
